Balance Physical Therapy

How to do physical therapy on your knees?

I hurt my knees and had to band it up for two months under doctors orders now I need to do therapy on my knee so does any body know any excercises that physical therapists tell you to do on your knees?

  1. Physical therapy is not a cook book approach--meaning because someone has pain in the X does not mean we give them exercise set Y. Each physical therapy session is highly individualistic and determined based on the results of your specific evaluation. What I might give one person for knee pain might be totally inappropriate for another. Sorry I cannot be of more help, but it would be negligent of anyone to try to advise you over the internet.
  2. Well, depending on your knee injury, there can be a lot of physical therapy management to be given on your injured knee. But since you haven't told here about your specific injury, then there's little that we can do. But since you're asking, i might try to do some thermal heating on your injured part, (try hotpacks) and then some quadriceps and Hamstring setting exercises. Hmm... try to research the net on how to do it, it's kind of toxic explaining the details here. Like what i said, we need to prioritize your safety here so there wouldn't be any specific therapeutic exercises to be given.
